On the nose, it exudes a complex fruitiness of red currants, ripe cherries, and tart blueberries, meeting peaty autumn leaves, fresh truffles, and roasted root vegetables. On the palate, in addition to the complexity of its aromas, it shows taut acidity, fine-grained tannins, and an astonishingly lean, stony length with a chalky origin.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eGernot Heinrich – Winemaking\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Blaufränkisch grapes, hand-picked from late September to early October, come from vineyards cultivated biodynamically by Heike and Gernot Heinrich with great manual effort and care. After harvesting, the grapes remain in wooden fermentation vats on the skins for three weeks, undergoing spontaneous fermentation, and then gently pressed with a basket press.
