The heavy loamy-loess soils around the estate in Ellerstadt provide power and creaminess, while the higher-lying parcels with clay and limestone-rich colored sandstone soils bring fresh exotic fruit notes to the wine. The vineyards ripen at sometimes long intervals and are harvested independently of each other, with great differentiation. The ripe, healthy grapes are gently processed in the modern press house.
