The cuvée of the originally French grape varieties Syrah and Merlot has red fruit aromas of dark forest berries, black cherries, cocoa and a hint of liquorice, subtly complemented by a vegetal spice. The fine tannins and remarkable length are a true delight for the palate.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eWinemaking – Oliver Zeter\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe grapes for the Oliver Zeter Petz come from vineyards around the villages of Hambach and Edenkoben. The cuvée consists of 85% Syrah and 15% Merlot - here, Palatinate red wine artistry meets French charm.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAfter a traditional, open mash fermentation followed by several weeks of maceration, the mash was gently pressed and the young wine was placed in used French oak barriques. The different varieties were aged and stored together in these for 12 months.
