In his parents' restaurant Zum Heiligen Stein in Muschenheim, Hesse, the lamb sausages made from the meat of their own sheep were particularly popular, but the right sauce for them could not be found among the many industrially produced products on the market. So Boris tinkered in the kitchen with all sorts of ingredients and developed his own ketchup. The result was a gourmet ketchup made from high-quality ingredients, which was so well received by guests that they wanted to take the Zum heiligen Stein ketchup home in jars. The incredibly positive feedback encouraged Boris to hang up his law degree and dedicate himself entirely to ketchup production.
