Perla del Garda – Valtènesi Chiaretto – Rosé Wine

The Perla del Garda Valtènesi Chiaretto 2025 is an uncomplicated, animating organic rosé wine from Lake Garda. Fruit-driven and light-footed, this Vino Rosato displays an intense, magnificent cherry pink in the glass. The nose offers floral and fruity aromas wafting back and forth: cherry, wild strawberry, raspberry, a hint of blackberry jelly, fragrant petals – a superb summer wine. The Perla del Garda Valtènesi Chiaretto Rosé is delicate and well-balanced, with a refreshing acidity that encourages drinking, a beautiful freshness, and gentle hints of tannin. Well-chilled, it makes an stimulating aperitif, accompanies salmon canapés just as well as grilled vegetables and fish, and a crisp salad with crunchy chicken.

Chiaretto Rosé – Winemaking

In Lonato del Garda, on the southern shore of Lake Garda, the vines of the red grape varieties Groppello, Marzemino, Sangiovese, and Barbera grow in hilly vineyards on calcareous soils of morainic origin. At 150 m above sea level, this refreshing organic rosé wine is produced in the Riviera del Garda Classico DOC appellation. In the Guyot training system, 4,000 vines per hectare stand close together, forcing them to compete for water and nutrients. The grapes from the approximately 30-year-old vines are harvested exclusively by hand in September.

Harvested by hand in small crates, they are manually selected again at the winery, which is located in the middle of the vineyards, before macerating for about 3 hours in the cold room, allowing the color to release from their skins. Cooling protects them from oxidative stress and preserves the fruitiness. After gentle whole-bunch pressing, fermentation takes place for 10-12 days in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks at approximately 15 degrees. The five-month aging of the Valtènesi Chiaretto Rosé also takes place in stainless steel tanks.

Auf rund 25 Hektar nahe Lonato entstehen aus der autochthonen Rebsorte Turbiana duftige, mineralische Lugana-Weine mit Charakter. Das besondere Flaschendesign macht die Weine auch optisch zum Highlight für Genießer.
