¡Hola! Cava does not come from a passionless mass production line. Instead, it is made by two Belgian entrepreneurs who moved to Barcelona over a decade ago with the dream of cultivating, harvesting, and bottling the best organic Cava in the world! Because the Mediterranean isn't just a place; it's a... lifestyle.
From the beginning, we have selected vineyards located high in the mountains near our winery, as this reduces the amount of sulfites we need to add to our wines. The base wines are intended to express the natural characteristics of their vineyards as much as possible. Thus, Barcelona Brands does not use chemicals in the vineyard but natural remedies to protect its vineyards from vine and grape diseases. The grapes for the Cava are harvested by hand in the cool morning hours. Barcelona Brands processes its grapes and those of its contract growers together with Spanish winemaker Joan Soler to produce high-quality premium sparkling wines that offer a maximum expression of their Catalan origin. All Hola Cava sparkling wines are therefore certified organic and vegan.
Barcelona Brands' Cava has been awarded several gold medals at wine competitions over the years and around the world for its outstanding quality. Wine critic Alain Bloeykens named it the best Cava on the Belgian market in his article Cava Numero Uno.
