What does "non-alcoholic" actually mean?

In Germany, beverages with an alcohol content of up to 0.5% by volume may be called "non-alcoholic" (Food Information Regulation). Those who wish to abstain from alcohol entirely choose products labeled "0.0%" — these contain no measurable residual alcohol. Both variants are represented in our assortment and are clearly marked on the product.

Non-alcoholic wine and sparkling wine includes gently de-alcoholized wines from producers such as Goodvines and Sekthaus Raumland, as well as the unique PriSeccos from the Jörg Geiger manufactory made from orchard fruits. In non-alcoholic aperitifs and spirits, you will find complex distillates and bitter compositions from Dr. Jaglas, Windspiel, or MURI Drinks — ideal for cocktails and as a prelude to dinner. The category Sparkling Non-Alcoholic brings together fine sparkling alternatives based on tea, fruit, and botanicals.

Craftsmanship and processes

The variety in the glass comes from very different approaches: Vacuum distillation removes alcohol from wine at low temperatures (around 27 °C), preserving aromas. Cold pressing yields naturally cloudy juices with full fruit character. Non-alcoholic cuvées of juice, herbs, and carbon dioxide create a unique beverage category with PriSecco — entirely without fermentation. And steam infusion extracts essential oils from botanicals for non-alcoholic distillates. Each process has its own sensory signature.

What is the difference between de-alcoholized wine and PriSecco?
De-alcoholized wine is first fermented as normal wine and then de-alcoholized under vacuum. PriSecco, on the other hand, is a unique non-alcoholic beverage made from fruit juices and herbal extracts that is not fermented at all. Both processes lead to very different taste profiles — which is why both categories have their place in our assortment.

Can non-alcoholic wines match the taste of classic wines?
White wines and sparkling wines now reach a high standard, as their aromas and acid structure withstand de-alcoholization well. Red wines are more challenging in terms of taste, as body and tannins are closely linked to alcohol. The manufacturers in our assortment show how far development has come.

What glasses are suitable for non-alcoholic beverages?
Glass selection follows the category, not the alcohol content.
