Alcohol-Free Spirits — The Base for Mindful Cocktails

Alcohol-free spirits are aimed at anyone who loves cocktails and long drinks but wants to abstain from alcohol. The range extends from gin alternatives with classic botanicals to spicy distillates and unique creations that deliberately move away from alcoholic precedents.

Process and Diversity

Producers such as Windspiel from the Eifel volcanic field use steam distillation to extract essential oils from juniper, coriander, and citrus peels. Other manufacturers work with cold maceration or hydro-distillation. The result is distillates with a recognizable character — juniper, pepper, cardamom, lavender — that hold their own in cocktails without missing the alcohol.

Mix alcohol-free spirits with tonic, ginger beer, or soda. Dosage: 4–6 cl to 150–200 ml of filler, garnished with fresh herbs or citrus peel. The more complex distillates also work well neat on ice. Further alcohol-free options for the evening can be found among our aperitifs.
