Bauer - Brodo Trentino
The story of Bauer Brodo Trentino began in 1928 with the import of chicken bouillon cubes from Berlin. In 1933, Augusto Bauer, together with his brother Edoardo, who had acquired the necessary expertise in Berlin, founded the first Italian company specializing in the production of granulated chicken broth. The first Bauer production facility was established in the San Martino district of Trento. Over the years, Bauer expanded its product range to include granulated beef and vegetable broth, and from 1960 onwards, Augusto's sons Carlo Alberto and Claudio joined the family business.
In contrast to other manufacturers, Bauer continues to focus on the quality and naturalness of its products, and still uses the gentler, albeit more expensive, drying technique. In the 1970s, the first cube formats in the "nostalgic" two-part packaging appeared on the market, such as the bouillon cubes with porcini mushrooms. 1986 saw the birth of Vegetal-Brodo. It was the first 100% vegetable broth that dissolved instantly in boiling water and contained neither gluten nor monosodium glutamate. This made Bauer a pioneer in the market. The same applies to the organic vegetable cubes and organic vegetable granules, two products that were manufactured in 1996 in the new production facilities of Bauer Brodo Trentino after years of hard work on organic conversion and ICEA certification.
