Heinde & Verre Chocolate – Chocolate from Holland
Heinde & Verre Chocolate, chocolate from Holland, is a young brand from Rotterdam that has been producing unique bean-to-bar chocolate since 2015. Founders Jan-Willem Jekel and Ewald Rietberg, both gourmets and chocolate lovers, have been undertaking culinary journeys together for many years. Fascinated by the bean-to-bar movement in the USA, the two decided to found their own small chocolate factory and produce the best bean-to-bar chocolate from Holland.
Heinde & Verre Chocolate – Bean-to-bar chocolate
Heinde & Verre means something like near and far. The brand name is a tribute to the Dutch culinary tradition of combining the best ingredients worldwide with high-quality local products from the Netherlands. In addition to cocoa from afar, Heinde & Verre Chocolate uses local Dutch products such as beet sugar and Dutch milk.
To turn fine cocoa beans into chocolate, they use slow-food techniques such as grinding on stone mills, aging the cocoa beans, and experimenting with roasting profiles. In this way, Heinde & Verre brings out the natural flavor spectrum of the Grand Cru cocoa and offers you a whole new chocolate experience. Fruits, nuts, flowers, herbs, tobacco, coffee, honey, leather, or wood – the aromas of Heinde & Verre chocolates are complex and rich. We are thrilled.
