Weingut Rings – from Freinsheim

The Rings Winery is located in Freinsheim in the Palatinate region. A small, somewhat sleepy wine village not far from Bad Dürkheim. Wide awake, however, are the brothers Andreas and Steffen Rings, who are running the winery in its third generation and have awakened it from its slumber. In less than 10 years, they have transformed their parents' bulk wine business into a showcase VDP (Association of German Prädikat Wine Estates) operation.

The two brothers, Andreas and Steffen, have consistently pursued their path towards organic viticulture. This begins with soil work (compost and green manure), extends to canopy management and yield reduction on the vines, strict selective hand-picking even for the estate wines, as well as reduced cellar work with spontaneous fermentation and giving the wine its character and time. 30 hectares of vineyards, managed close to nature in the best locations around Freinsheim, Ungstein, and Kallstadt, belong to Weingut Rings.
