The Idea Behind “Kalk & Stein”

Andreas and Steffen Rings stand for puristic, nature-oriented craftsmanship with their wines. With this white wine cuvée, they interpret their single-vineyard wines in an unconventional way – spontaneously fermented, aged in wood and amphora, natural and unfined. The Kalk & Stein cuvée is usually based on Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay, which grow on barren limestone soils. These conditions give the wine its taut minerality, structure, and depth.
