Le Jacquard Français
The story of Le Jacquard Français begins in 1861, when the cloth merchant Benjamin Baer settled in Gérardmer in the Vosges region. In 1928, a bleachery was added, and from 1968, modern Jacquard looms were installed. The weaving technique dates back to the silk weaver Joseph-Marie Jacquard. Today, the company produces tea towels, table linen, and bathrobes made of cotton and linen with woven patterns.
