From Restaurant to – Ketchup zum heiligen Stein
In 2010, Boris Sauerborn took over his parents' restaurant "Zum heiligen Stein" in the Muschenheim district of Lich, not far from the Hessian university city of Giessen. The small town has a historical past and a 4000-5000-year-old attraction: the "Heiliger Stein" megalithic tomb.
The grilled lamb sausages from their own sheep with homemade ketchup were probably the most popular dish on the menu at the "Zum heiligen Stein" restaurant. When guests then asked if they could also buy the ketchup in a jar to take home, Boris developed the idea for Ketchup zum Heiligen Stein, which became part of the gastronomic success story. Grandma Mia always told her grandson: "There's nothing better than homemade." We can only agree with her. The Ketchup zum heiligen Stein is absolutely delicious and highly recommended.
