Raumland Sekt – Riesling Brut Tradition
The Raumland Riesling Sekt Brut Tradition 2021 is a dry white Riesling sparkling wine from the Sekthaus Raumland in Flörsheim Dalsheim, Rheinhessen. Riesling is definitely the most important grape variety in German viticulture and a flagship for our wine tradition. Precisely for this reason, the Raumland family has high standards for their Riesling sparkling wines and only produces them in the best years. The 2021 vintage aged on lees for three years, but despite the 36 months, it appears refreshingly youthful. The Raumland Sekt Riesling Brut is a fruity sparkling wine, crisp, clear, and juicy. The Tradition sparkling wine smells of white flowers and yellow fruits, such as juicy vineyard peach and green apple, paired with citrus notes of lime, it shows minerality and elegant creaminess. On the palate, the fine perlage reflects the pure vibrancy of this beautiful aperitif.
Marie-Luise Raumland believes that sparkling wine is not just for special occasions; sparkling wine always works, and with its uncomplicated finesse and wonderful freshness, the Raumland Riesling Sekt is an excellent food companion for Asian dishes, poultry, and vegetarian cuisine, and it is an animating summer and patio sparkling wine.

Sekthaus Raumland – Sparkling wine on par with Champagne
Sekthaus Raumland from Flörsheim Dalsheim in Rheinhessen produces German sparkling wine of exceptional quality that can stand up to any international comparison.
Volker Raumland produces sparkling wine using the traditional bottle fermentation method, exclusively from his own hand-picked grapes, with a focus on Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder) and Chardonnay, from organically cultivated vineyards. The Riesling grapes for this Tradition sparkling wine grow on calcareous subsoil with loam and gravelly topsoil and were harvested by hand in September 2021.
Gentle pressing, 92% of the base wines matured in steel tanks and 8% in wooden barrels, malolactic fermentation, secondary fermentation in the bottle, and long lees aging are prerequisites for this quality, a complex aromatic spectrum, and the particular fine perlage of his sparkling wines. Tirage bottling in April 2022. Disgorged: 9/25
"Good taste is not objective – it is not measurable. It took many years of patience and countless attempts to get closer to the great goal step by step: to achieve the optimum from the variety of our grape varieties, the traditional methods, and the possibilities available today. That is our vision, which challenges us anew every day," says Germany's best sparkling wine producer, Volker Raumland.
