Alcohol-Free Sparkling Wine Alternative – Raumland Zerozzante

Volker Raumland is one of the best German sparkling wine producers. When he decided to create an alcohol-free sparkling wine alternative, originally for his two daughters Katharina and Marie Luise, it was clear that the Raumland grape Secco would not be a simple juice spritzer, but an alcohol-free Secco of particular quality with a fine, long-lasting perlage, as one would expect from sparkling wines. This is precisely what distinguishes the white Raumland grape Secco. It has a fruity aroma of yellow apple, peach, and a hint of nutmeg. In the glass, it shines pale yellow and shows its fine bubbles. On the palate, it is juicy and pleasantly sweet with a great acidity. The crisp Raumland alcohol-free grape Secco is a great alternative for those who cannot drink alcohol or simply want to toast alcohol-free. The Raumland daughters have since grown up and work side by side with their father Volker Raumland. They still enjoy drinking the fruit Secco. The Alcohol-Free Zerozzante – Fruit Secco from Raumland

The Bacchus grapes for the Zerozzante Cuvée No.1 come from Raumland's own vineyards or from those of befriended winemakers in the region. The Seccos are made from the juice of the "taille" pressing, which is not used for the prestige sparkling wines. The heavily chilled grape juice is then carbonated and bottled. The work is done with extreme cleanliness. Volker Raumland deliberately refrains from pasteurizing the grape juice. This would make the Zerozzante (even) more durable, but it would primarily reduce the complexity of the aroma. This makes the quality of the grapes all the more important; only the best and undamaged ones go into the press. This gentle process guarantees the special taste of the Raumland grape Secco. The Zerozzante Cuvée No.1 white grapes taste a little sweeter than the Raumland apple Secco.

Since the juice in Zerozzante Cuvée No.1 does not undergo alcoholic fermentation and the Secco is not a de-alcoholized, alcohol-free sparkling wine, the Raumland Secco contains no residual alcohol whatsoever.
