Two Manufacturers, One Philosophy

Profitec and ECM Manufacture are no accident. Both are based in Baden-Württemberg, both build their machines with components otherwise only found in gastronomy: E61 brew group, rotary pump, real steam boiler. What results is not a capsule machine with design aspirations, but a piece of engineering that, with good maintenance, will deliver a perfect espresso for twenty years. You buy such a machine once.

From Experience: The machine is half the battle — the other half is the grinder and the coffee. Someone who combines a good entry-level model with a good grinder and fresh roasted coffee will drink better espresso than someone with a machine twice as expensive and supermarket beans.
