Questions about Rosé Wine – 2023?

We are happy to help you with Weingut Klumpp.

Klumpp Organic Rosé - always a delight!

The Klumpp Organic Rosé 2023 from Bruchsal in Baden is a dry estate wine cuvée made from 50% Blaufränkisch, 20% Pinot Noir, 20% St. Laurent and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Its intense, rich rosé is an eye-catcher even in the bottle. Juicy fruit aromas of strawberry and raspberry are in the foreground, and a spice reminiscent of paprika and white pepper makes the drinking experience exciting and makes you crave a second or third glass of rosé organic estate wine from Weingut Klumpp. A refreshing rosé that is just as enjoyable on its own as it is with pizza, pasta or at a barbecue.

Winemaking – Klumpp in Baden

The 20-year-old vines for this rosé estate wine from Weingut Klumpp grow on typical clay and loess soils in a pure south-facing location, partly on high plateaus, partly on steep slopes with up to 35% gradient.

The grapes are harvested by hand in the early, cool morning hours. At the winery, grapes and mash are not pumped but are moved into the fermentation tanks by gravity. About 60% of this rosé is produced using the Saignée method, i.e. by pure juicing, which results from the grapes' own weight without pressing. The remaining 40% stay on the mash for over 8 hours, where the red wine skins can release their color into the juice, and are then gently pressed. Slow, temperature-controlled fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, which leads to this fruity-fresh wine.
