Castelbel Porto – Soap Tradition from Portugal
Castelbel Porto manufactures soaps, scented candles, and room fragrances in the northern Portuguese port city of Porto. Founded in 1999 by Aquiles Brito, whose uncle once owned Claus Porto, Castelbel is now one of Portugal's leading soap manufacturers. Soap making has a tradition of over 300 years in Portugal. The success began with the fragrances of the Ambiente series, which bear Castelbel's typical signature: classic fragrances of the highest quality, such as rose, lavender, jasmine, orange, verbena, fine soaps made from natural ingredients, a picturesque packaging that tempts you to give it as a gift, very simple and elegantly designed tea lights and flacons. In 2007, Castelbel launched the luxury brand Portus Cale with wonderful designs, complex fragrance compositions, elaborately designed diffusers and glass candle holders, such as the Butterflies series, which is covered with colorful butterflies. The great thing about the room fragrances is the long-lasting, pleasant, never overpowering scent.
Castelbel Porto – Soap for the Future
The Castelbel soap manufactory is always in tune with the times. Following the success of the Hello Cities series, which captured the typical scents from Europe's capitals in soaps and turned them into souvenirs, and the Gentlemen's Club personal care products, the Castelbel Sardine, a fish-shaped soap with sea salt and lemon, as well as the accompanying kitchen towels and gift sets, are a highlight of the Castelbel Collection. The latest coup, and this once again shows how much Aquiles Brito moves with the times, are high-quality new series such as Rosé Blush and White Crane - like all Castelbel products made from natural substances, with creamy foam and wonderful fragrance.
