Königskind – A Delicacy Manufacturer in the Bergisches Land
The Königskind delicacy manufacturer is Uwe König's passion project. What started as a hobby in 2005, he turned into a full-time business in 2014 due to strong demand for his products. Today, all his creations are made in his kitchen in Ziegenbusch, Wiehl, in the Bergisches Land, between Gummersbach and Nümbrecht.
Königskind – The Name Says It All
The trained salesman has his heart in the right place, and so not only do his fruit spreads, chutneys, mustards, and black walnuts go down well with deli owners, but Uwe König himself does too. Always with a quick quip on his lips, it's a pleasure for us when he still delivers his orders personally. In a way, his delicacies in jars are his "Königskinder" (king's children), intentionally brought into the world with a sophisticated recipe, and Mr. and Mrs. König are always eager to hear how much their customers enjoy them. The König family's home is the Oberbergisches Land, between Siegen and Cologne. He sources his raw materials locally, and in his home kitchen, with the help of his wife Sabine, wonderful gourmet products are created that simply taste good.
