Crudo Extra Virgin Olive Oil – Monocultivar

Crudo is an Italian extra virgin olive oil produced exclusively from Ogliarola olives. The olives for this monocultivar olive oil grew in the exceptional climate of Apulia, were harvested in early November in the region around Bari, and are cold-pressed into the finest olive oil within hours of harvesting at the state-of-the-art oil mill of the Schiralli brothers.

The award-winning Crudo Ogliarola olive oil took 1st place in the lightly fruity category at the Der Feinschmecker Olio Award 2023.

This green olive oil with yellow reflections is balanced and fruity. On the nose, artichoke hearts, green asparagus, green pepper, and almond notes. On the palate, Crudo olive oil is full-bodied, soft, and elegant. The medium-intensity Crudo seasons bruschetta, caprese, carpaccio, pasta aglio olio, as well as green salads or gratin vegetables, red meat, and seafood. The finish is fine and clear with an excellent balance between spicy and bitter, and fruity.

Olearia Schiralli – Crudo Olive Oil from Apulia

The Schiralli family owns approximately 20 hectares of olive groves in Southern Italy, in Apulia, at the foot of the Barese Murgia. This picturesque region, only 12 km from the sea, is characterized by semi-rocky terrain, which, with prolonged and intense sun exposure and the beneficial effect of rising winds, offers optimal conditions for olive cultivation.

The Schiralli family, or rather the Schiralli brothers, market their extra virgin olive oil from typical Apulian olive varieties under the brand Crudo - which means "raw" and alludes to the completely innovative processing technique, which is the result of many years of experience of the manufacturer of extraction machines, the Tuscan company Mori. Both Crudo and Sei Cinque Zero are monocultivar olive oils, Crudo from Ogliarola, Sei Cinque Zero from Coratina, while Culto is produced from a blend of different Apulian varieties. The olive oils of Olearia Schiralli have won multiple awards, including from Der Feinschmecker. The Crudo olive oil is the Feinschmecker Olio Award winner 2023 in the lightly fruity category.
