The La Mortuacienne Pink Citrus Lemonade is a new refreshing lemonade creation with flavors of zesty-sweet citrus fruits such as blood orange, grapefruit, Navel orange, and lemon. It is perfectly balanced and delicious, and less sweet than the popular grapefruit soda. This latest recipe is also made according to the traditional recipe entirely from natural fruit extracts by the company Rieme in France. The pink lemonade is refreshing on its own or on the rocks with vermouth, vodka, or gin.

Pink Citrus Lemonade – zesty & less sweet

The La Mortuacienne Pink Citrus Lemonade, which is still sold unchanged in the nostalgic 1-liter swing-top bottle today, is probably the most delicious way to enjoy citrus fruits. Here, blood oranges, which are slightly more bitter and whose pulp has a great red color, tart grapefruit, which is a cross between pomelo and orange, Navel oranges, which are juicy, sweet, and seedless, and the classic lemon, which is zesty-sour, come together. It is precisely from this mixture of the four citrus fruits that the La Mortuacienne Pink Citrus Lemonade was composed. It is slightly less sweet than the other flavors of Rieme lemonades. The syrup base for Rieme lemonade is produced cold in a so-called Sirogène, a 1.5 m high copper tube. The sugar is dissolved with filtered, exactly 11-degree cold water and flows by gravity through two sieves and a filter, creating a fine, viscous syrup. So, only water, natural lemon flavors, and high-quality sugar are needed for an inimitable sparkle.
