Metzger Glühvieh Weiß – Vintner Mulled Wine from the Palatinate
Metzger Glühvieh Weiß is a vintner mulled wine by Uli Metzger from the Palatinate region. Metzger's Glühvieh Weiß accompanies you through the cold season. What makes this vintner mulled wine special is that its wine base consists of a sweet Bacchus and a Müller-Thurgau. This allows it to wonderfully combine classic mulled wine aromas such as cinnamon, cloves, and oranges with sweet fruit aromas like apple and grapes. It is best to warm it slowly to 73 degrees and not above, to preserve the alcohol content.

Behind this mulled wine is the experienced winemaker Uli Metzger. His expertise guarantees a mulled wine that meets the highest standards.
Weingut Metzger – Family Tradition
Uli Metzger took over his parents' business, Weingut Metzger in Asselheim near Grünstadt in the Palatinate, in 2010. The Metzger family has been cultivating wine in the North Palatinate for more than 100 years. Nearly 20 hectares of vineyards in good and very good locations with distinct limestone soils are now managed by Uli and Karin and their daughters Lea and Nane. Their labels feature a striking cattle and sometimes a flying pig, an unmistakable trademark.
To make it easier for customers to find the right wine for them, the quality levels Gutswein (estate wine), Ortswein (village wine), and Lagenwein (single vineyard wine) were also named with terms like Flanke (flank), Pastorenstück (pastor's piece), and Filet (fillet), i.e., butchery technical terms. This makes it easy to navigate the Metzger winery's product range.
