Over centuries, a unique, spectacular terraced landscape was created over an area of approximately 250,000 hectares, designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2001. Locals call this exquisite, richly sweet drop the "nectar of the gods." It's no wonder that Castelbel created the Ruby Red series as an homage to Port wine. Portus Cale – Tradition and Craftsmanship from Portugal

The production of natural soaps has a 300-year-old tradition in Portugal, which Castelbel began in 1999.

Not far from the port city of Porto in northern Portugal lies the small village of Castêlo da Maia, which was not only the company's headquarters but also its namesake: Castelbel – beautiful castle.

Initially, Castelbel produced private label brands for upscale department stores. Since 2006, the Castelbel Ambiente series (Lavender, Rose, Verbena) has offered soaps and wonderful room fragrances in beautiful glass diffusers, which are exported from Portugal all over the world. A year later, the exclusive Portus Cale series followed, whose unique Portuguese product design has found fans not only with us but also in Dubai, South Africa, and Japan, and delights museum visitors in the washrooms of the Louvre in Paris.
