Ancestrale Fleur – fruity-sweet pleasure from Sekthaus Raumland
The Raumland Ancestrale Fleur Demi-Sec is an aromatic, semi-dry sparkling wine made from 100% Scheurebe, produced using the Méthode Ancestrale. A fruity-sweet, fragrant sparkling wine from Flörsheim Dalsheim in Rheinhessen.
On the nose, the Ancestrale Fleur shows fragrant aromas of elderflower, pear, and lychee. A bouquet of exotic fruits and floral notes. On the palate, the pleasant sweetness of this "Demi Sec" sparkling wine reveals itself. The lively acidity makes it very refreshing and shows aromas of lime and fresh grapes.
The Raumland Ancestrale Fleur is a fruity sparkling wine, full-bodied and with fine perlage. With its 8.5% vol. alcohol, it is suitable as a light, fine aperitif or as an accompaniment to dessert or cheese. The Fleur Doux is also suitable on hot summer days when you don't want to miss out on sparkling wine.
Ancestrale Fleur – sparkling wine with residual sweetness
The Ancestrale Fleur is a somewhat different Raumland sparkling wine, one might think, but Volker Raumland also plays at the top in the field of quality sweet sparkling wines, because the Ancestrale Fleur Demi-Sec is produced with the same care as all Raumland sparkling wines.
Actually, it is a semi-fermented sparkling wine according to the Méthode Ancestrale or Ruale, because the base wine from aromatic grape varieties is not completely fermented. The fermentation is stopped by cooling down the tank so that the yeast can no longer convert sugar into alcohol, but some residual sweetness remains in the base wine. This is then filled semi-fermented into bottles, where it finishes fermenting and forms carbon dioxide. It is also fermented with yeast from Champagne, riddled, and increasingly put on its head so that the yeast can collect in the neck of the bottle before it is disgorged. No dosage is added – a fruity pleasure.
Sekthaus Raumland – sparkling wine on par with Champagne
