The Honey from Provence by Beauharnais is an amber-colored, creamy honey from the south of France. Miel de Provence is a honey with a protected geographical indication. Typical herbal aromas such as lavender or thyme give this French honey from Provence its unmistakable character. Provence honey has a delicately sweet, subtly fruity aroma. Its scent is distinctly reminiscent of the garrigue landscape with lavender fields and wild herbs such as thyme or rosemary. It possesses a refined sweetness, is aromatic and long-lasting. The finely creamy honey tastes great on bread, as well as in herbal teas or with baked goat cheese.

In Provence, there is not only blooming lavender, but also many other blooming herbs and wild flowers that are visited by bees, and whose nectar can thus be processed into a blossom honey. Provence honey is bottled in France by Beauharnais and sold as Miel de Provence PGI.

If it plays a role in your purchase decision whether a honey is rather liquid or creamy, we would like to give you the following information: Even if the product photo shows honey with a liquid consistency, honey can crystallize at any time. This is a quality feature of honey, as it shows that it is untreated, i.e., not heat-treated, and has a purely natural composition. Honey with a high glucose content crystallizes more readily than honey with a high fructose content. The crystallization of honey is therefore not a reason for complaint, but depends on the natural composition of the sugar types. To liquefy the honey again, place the closed jar in a pot of water heated to approximately 40 degrees Celsius for 5-10 minutes, then stir the honey until the sugar crystals have dissolved. This way, you can use liquid honey again.
