Die Honigwanderer – Sweet Chestnut Honey – 250g

The bees of Die Honigwanderer collect Simon & Stefanie's sweet chestnut honey in June and July in the sweet chestnut forests of the Palatinate Forest Nature Park. Specifically at these coordinates: N49° 5' 21.12" E7° 57' 39.19". Sweet chestnut honey is a liquid blossom honey, dark in color and aroma. A tart, strong honey with a slightly bitter aftertaste.

Bioland certified sweet chestnut honey from Die Honigwanderer

Jonas & Daniel have a passion for bees and honey in their blood; beekeeping has been a part-time family business for three generations. Their goal is not quantity, but quality, and has been organically certified according to strict Bioland guidelines since 2003. Even though the two sold their company to Simon & Stefanie Weber in 2024, the new Honigwanderer owners pay special attention to the health of their bee colonies, which are fed with their own honey in winter instead of sugar solution, to good locations in a sufficiently large, ecological environment, and to the careful processing of the honey; after extraction, the harvest is not heated but gently bottled.
