The Blanxart dark chocolate from Brazil 76% has a nutty flavor, accompanied by a mild coffee aroma. The fruity notes of this organic dark chocolate made from Trinitario cacao from Brazil are reminiscent of citrus fruits, supported by the vanilla it contains.

Copoan is a relatively young cooperative in Brazil, joined by 26 cocoa farmers from the region around Medicilândia, a town located between Belém and Itaituba. In this area, which primarily thrives on cocoa cultivation, the farmers of this cooperative have succeeded in producing excellent organic Trinitario cocoa, while also setting new standards for agricultural organization and social engagement in the region. In addition to regular training measures, the proceeds are used to support social structures and schools.

The Excellence of Handcrafted Chocolate

Founded in 1954 by Francesc Agras and three friends in Barcelona, the Blanxart chocolate factory is now a fourth-generation family business led by Xavier Cordomi.

Today, the company, based in the capital of Catalonia, focuses primarily on bean-to-bar chocolate in bar form, mostly with a high cocoa content. For this, organic and fair-trade cocoa beans from Peru, Ecuador, Brazil, Nicaragua, Congo, the Philippines, and the Dominican Republic are often imported from small farmers or small cooperatives. The beans are then roasted, ground, and conched with great care and dedication. Blanxart processes Forastero and Trinitario, as well as Criollo cocoa beans.

The fact that Blanxart's dark chocolates are not bitter but have a certain mildness is due, among other things, to the addition of extra cocoa butter. This allows the sugar content to be reduced without the chocolate becoming too harsh. The vanilla used is so skillfully dosed that it is only subtly perceived and does not distort the original cocoa flavor.

Blanxart ist eine katalanische Schokoladenmanufaktur mit Sitz in Sant Joan Despí bei Barcelona. Die Firma wurde bereits 1954 gegründet und verarbeitet die Kakaobohnen nach dem klassischen Bean-to-Bar-Verfahren in einer der wenigen noch bestehenden integrierten Schokoladenfabriken Spaniens.

Typisch für Blanxart sind sortenreine Single-Origin-Tafeln aus Peru, Brasilien, Nicaragua und Ecuador. Die Röstung im klassischen Trommelröster und das lange Conchieren sorgen für den charakteristisch runden, intensiven Kakaogeschmack.
