Casa Cubiusta was founded about ten years ago by David Pimentel and his friend Arrens in Olhão, on the Algarve. David has Portuguese roots and wanted to bring good craftsmanship from his homeland to tables in other countries. Because sitting at a laid table with family or friends is pure joy of life. With its beautiful plates and bowls, Casa Cubista brings the love for beautiful things into your everyday life.

The Casa Cubista ceramic tableware is produced according to David's designs in a family-run factory in the Algarve. Even if not every plate is made on the potter's wheel, it is still handled by Rui, whose family has mastered pottery for over 200 years, cast, sanded, and individually glazed with these great colors, which are food-safe and free of harmful chemicals, by his aunt Regina, among others. To preserve the shine of the glaze, we recommend washing the plate by hand. Each bowl is unique. Small irregularities in the glaze are normal and intentional. Thus, each bowl, each plate, each jug always looks a little different. The stripes are also not perfectly geometric but painted by eye. Casa Cubista ceramics are indeed genuine handiwork.

What we particularly like about the Casa Cubista collection is that the different patterns (bold stripe, dash, and ray), colors (black, tangerine, terracotta, teal, blue, and green), and sizes can be wonderfully combined. Mix and match – try it out!
