Questions about Folding table?

Ooni Folding Table. Mobile base for the pizza oven, set up in two minutes, stored in one.

Ooni Folding Table is a collapsible workbench from the Scottish pizza brand Ooni, designed as a mobile stand for pizza ovens. Not a permanent garden furniture, not a modular table with storage compartments, not a table for patio use without an oven.

Ooni Folding Table is the table for everyone who doesn't want to keep their pizza oven permanently in the garden, but rather sets it up fresh for every pizza evening. When unfolded, it stands stably on its four legs, with a work surface that can accommodate a Koda 12, Koda 2, or a smaller Karu. When folded, it disappears into the corner of the shed or in the trunk — narrow enough to fit into gaps of 15 centimeters. Anyone who has experienced a ten-kilogram pizza oven balancing on garden furniture without a suitable table will understand at the first unfolding why Ooni included this accessory in its range.

Stable when unfolded, compact when folded

The table is made of powder-coated steel and can support the weight of a fully loaded pizza oven, including a propane gas bottle on the side hook. The worktop is heat-resistant — an oven with 450 degrees Celsius on the stone surface can be placed directly on it, as long as the oven's base has its own feet. The tabletop does not soot, scratch, and remains flat even after years of use.

When folded, the table measures less than a standard poster roll in width. It fits into the trunk of a station wagon, into the compartment under a garden bench, or flat under a folding bed. For people who store their pizza oven in the shed between winter months and the summer season, this is a key decision: The table disappears as easily as the oven, without blocking an entire garden furniture unit.

What the table can — and cannot — do

The standing height is designed for working height: oven at hip height, dough area at hand height. Anyone who has had their oven on a too-low garden table will notice the difference with the first pizza bake — no back pain because you don't have to bend down when putting in the pizza.

From experience: Place the table on a level surface. For slightly uneven grass or gravel, a flat garden slab often suffices as a base. The propane gas side hook is designed for the gas bottle — the cable or pressure reducer remains fixed there instead of lying on the ground. For longer pizza sessions, it's worth supplementing the worktop with a heat-resistant topping station so that dough balls, sauce, and toppings have space next to each other.

First limitation: The folding construction is not designed for permanent outdoor use under the open sky. Rain, snow, and frost will affect the powder coating over the years. If you want to leave the table in the garden permanently, you should protect it with a tarpaulin or opt for the stationary Ooni Modular Table Large.

Second limitation: For the large ovens of the Koda 2 Max or Volt series, the folding table is too small. If you buy a 24-inch oven, you should plan the base with the Modular Table Large, not with the folding table.

Ooni — from Edinburgh to a Pizza Brand

Ooni was founded in Edinburgh in 2012 by Kristian Tapaninaho and Darina Garland. The accessory range is based on the experience of their own oven buyers: After the ovens were delivered to pizza lovers all over the world, practical feedback came in — including the fact that many buyers did not have a suitable base and ovens were standing on overloaded garden tables. The folding table is Ooni's answer to this: a mobile solution that can grow with you without cluttering the garden.

Within the Ooni accessories, the folding table stands between the minimal "oven on existing table" setup and the permanent modular table. For people who use their Ooni oven in various locations — in their own garden, camping, on the terrace at friends' houses — it is the only practical solution.

The table for everyone who takes their oven with them

Anyone who owns a Koda 12, Koda 2 or Fyra 12 will find in the folding table the base that keeps the oven mobile. Those who commute between two locations (e.g., city apartment with balcony and vacation home with garden) or occasionally transport their oven to friends will find in the folding table the solution that works without conversion.

As a gift in combination with a pizza oven, the folding table is one of those accessory pieces that are truly appreciated only after the first pizza evening — when the owner realizes how the oven without a suitable table is either too low or balances on unsuitable garden furniture.

The table for everyone who doesn't permanently display their pizza oven, but rather sets it up new every evening.

Ooni
