The exact recipe for this first, and thus oldest, Kusmi tea blend has been a secret since its development by Pavel Kousmichoff, almost as shrouded in myth as the life of the Romanov dynasty. The unique Bouquets de Fleurs N° 108 blend was created in 1880 by Pavel Koushmichoff in honor of the birth of his first daughter, Elisabeth, and became the Tsar's favorite tea. For more than 150 years, this recipe has brought great joy to tea lovers, as Bouquets de Fleurs N°108 is the very first blend from the Kusmi tea house. An Earl Grey-based recipe that was made even more refined with the fruity aromas of lemon, orange, tangerine, and ylang-ylang.

Ylang-ylang originates from Asia; the name is used for both the flower and the entire tree. The magnificent tree only blooms for the first time after three to five years. The flowers are particularly prized for their essential oil, which is extracted primarily for perfume production, but also makes this tea so irresistible.
