Forget-Me-Not – The Scent of the Alps
Perhaps it's the small yellow stars amidst the intense blue of the blossoms, like stars in the sky, that touch us in a special way: from Europe to China to Japan, this flower is known by the same name everywhere: forget-me-not, ne m’oubliez pas, no-meolvides, forglan-mig-ikke, Wu Wang Cao, and VERGISSMEINNICHT. It is a symbol of tender remembrance, farewell in love, friendship, and above all, fidelity. Many legends and poems revolve around this small flower: Goethe, in "Blümlein Wunderschön," tells of a count, lonely in his dungeon, who had only one thought: that his beloved should not forget him. From the tower window, he chose the forget-me-not, whose sight was to promise him the fidelity of his beloved. In Shakespeare's Hamlet, Ophelia says: "There's rosemary, that's for remembrance; pray, love, remember!" The blossom and root were once used in love spells. For the Tiroler Reine Forget-Me-Not Soap, the scent and color of the delicate blossoms were recreated – like the image of a flower meadow where the small blue flower catches the eye.
Tiroler Reine – Bar Soap
Exquisite ingredients, at least 3 milling processes, and exceptional alpine scents characterize the Tiroler Reine soaps from the Walde company. As the base substance for the soap, Tiroler Reine chose shea butter, as there is no local plant-based soap base that comes close to this quality. The shea butter from the nuts of the shea tree comes from Burkina Faso in West Africa. The nuts are collected as part of a women's project founded in 2009 called ABPJF (Association Burkinabé pour la Promotion de la Jeune Fille).
The special feature of the vegetable fat in shea butter is its excellent moisturizing properties when using the soap. Every Tiroler Reine soap bar is 100 percent biodegradable and completely disappears even in the bathroom: Thanks to its low water and air content, the soap does not disintegrate into small crumbs after being used for a while, but remains a smooth, wonderfully fragrant piece of soap with a fine, creamy lather until the very end.

Tiroler Reine, an idea by Therese Fiegl, is a soap that incorporates the centuries-old knowledge of the Walde family of soapmakers to create distinctive soaps. Each soap tells its own story, from the Sellrain washerwomen and glacier milk, to the alpine rose and love, the forget-me-not, the resilience of the birch, the alpine valerian, to primroses as harbingers of spring, the freshness of mountain mint, and elderflower, which conveys protection and security.
