From nature's bounty, Uwe König of the Königskind manufactory creates treats that are unknown to many or have been forgotten. Everything is handmade from untreated fruits right outside his door. Elaborate Production – Delicious Taste

Black walnuts are a delicate accompaniment to cold roasts, snacks, and also desserts. So-called black walnuts are not a special variety of walnuts, but rather candied, green walnuts. Until shortly before St. John's Day in June, green walnuts are still very soft, including the shell. Picked this early, the walnut can still be pierced with wooden skewers and then bathed in water for several weeks, which must be changed daily. Be careful, green walnuts stain hands black, so it's best to work with gloves. Once the walnuts are completely black, they are transferred from the water bath to warm sugar syrup, where they then mature or steep for several more weeks.
