The T4 wind deflector is an attachable stainless steel plate for the Thüros T4 that protects the embers from wind and simultaneously makes the grill height adjustable. Not a lid, not a hood, not a substitute for a closed grill.

The T4 wind deflector is the best-selling accessory for the Thüros grill and fits exclusively the T4. With a grill of this length, wind is twice as noticeable because it sweeps across the entire surface and cools the embers unevenly. The plate stands on three sides around the charcoal tray, preventing direct access for the wind. On the T4, with its long grilling surface, it prevents the wind from affecting the ends.

Three functions in one plate

The wind deflector is not just a wind protection, even if the name suggests it. It performs three functions simultaneously.

First, it keeps drafts away from the embers, so the charcoal burns evenly instead of cooling down on one side. Second, it supports the grill grate and thus makes the height adjustable: The grate can be hung at several levels, closer to the embers for steaks, further away for vegetables. Third, it holds grill skewers and serves as a holder for the warming rack.

Assembly without tools

The plate is placed on the grill head; nothing more is needed. It sits securely due to its own weight and shape; there are no screws or clamps.

This is an advantage for a part that is removed and cleaned after every grilling session. For storage, it can be laid flat. If you store the grill for the winter, this noticeably saves space.
