The T Cuvée Bianco 2024 from Cantina Tramin is a delicately fruity, light white wine made from Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, and Sauvignon Blanc grapes. This wine has an innovative concept. The T Cuvée Bianco was created to bring out the maximum potential of the interplay of the historically grown grape varieties of Cantina Tramin. Thus, it combines the best of the three grape varieties in its fresh, pleasant character. On the nose, it shows crisp pome fruit and white blossoms; on the palate, again apples and pears, green gooseberry, and herbaceous notes are added. This South Tyrolean wine is fresh and fruity with good body and a fine melt. The T Cuvée Bianco is excellent as an aperitif, but also an exquisite companion to light appetizers, fish, and vegetables.

Cantina Tramin – Winemaking

The mild winter of the 2024 vintage with sufficient rainfall, as well as a warm March also blessed with rain, led to an early budburst of the vines. Afterwards, it was rather cool and damp until the end of June, apart from a few early summer days in April. The summer was warm with many hours of sunshine, and a rainy autumn extended the vegetation period of the grapes. Overall, 2024 was a challenging wine year that required many extra hours of work in the vineyard. Thanks to a consistent implementation of the quality philosophy, the experience of the winemakers, and the cooperation within the cooperative, remarkable quality grape material could be harvested for Cantina Tramin, especially for the white grape varieties and Pinot Noir. Thus, the 2024 white wines are delicate and fresh in the glass, while for the reds, the elegance of the Pinot Noir particularly stands out.

The vines for this Cantina Tramin Cuvée stand on calcareous and gravelly loamy soils on hillsides between 250 and 550 m above sea level. The grapes were harvested by hand in several passes at the time of optimal physiological ripeness and brought to the winery in small containers. There, they were destemmed and further processed with gentle pressing. Fermentation took place at a controlled temperature (19°C) in stainless steel tanks, where aging also occurred without malolactic fermentation.

Kellerei Tramin

Die traditionsreiche Kooperative Kellerei Tramin wurde 1898 gegründet und zählt heute 300 familiengeführte Mitgliedsbetriebe. Auf 270 ha gedeihen elf Rebsorten auf Lehm-, Kalk- und Vulkanböden in Höhen von 250–850 m. Kellermeister Willi Stürz prägt seit 20 Jahren besonders den Gewürztraminer-Stil. Ein 2010 errichtetes, nachhaltiges Kellereigebäude mit Vinothek lädt Besucher ein, mit Blick auf den Kalterer See zu genießen.
