We are happy to help you with Cantina Kurtatsch.

Discover the Kellerei Kurtatsch Gewürztraminer Arenis Südtirol DOC 2024

Say "hello" to the Kellerei Kurtatsch Gewürztraminer Arenis Südtirol DOC 2024, a wine whose expressive aromatics and mineral notes make the hearts of South Tyrolean wine lovers beat faster. This exclusive Gewürztraminer is a true masterpiece, created with great love and care at the traditional Kellerei Kurtatsch. The grapes thrive in the sun-drenched vineyards of South Tyrol and acquire their characteristic taste of yellow roses, lychee, jasmine, and exotic spices thanks to the unique climatic conditions and the red sandstone soils. A distinct mineral backbone gives the full-bodied wine lasting freshness. The Arenis is expressive yet easy-drinking, perfectly balancing intensity and elegance.

The Art of Wine Enjoyment Redefined

The name Arenis is derived from the Italian "arenaria rossa," which means "red sandstone." On this strikingly red rock, the demanding Gewürztraminer vines thrive, finding optimal conditions in South Tyrol, not far from the wine village of Tramin. Due to the significantly reduced vine yield (60 hl/ha), the Arenis shows great complexity in its aroma.

Immerse yourself in the world of first-class wines and discover a true South Tyrolean classic from Kellerei Kurtatsch, the Gewürztraminer Arenis. The powerful ARENIS Gewürztraminer Südtirol DOC 2024 grows on red sandstone soils around the Kellerei Kurtatsch on the South Tyrolean Wine Road.

The Journey of the Gewürztraminer ARENIS - from Harvest to Bottle

At Kellerei Kurtatsch, great importance is placed on environmentally friendly winemaking that preserves the authentic taste of the terroir. The Gewürztraminer vines for this aromatic white wine from the Selection line grow on sand and clay soils with red sandstone, clay minerals, and oxides in mountain locations between 300-400 m above sea level. The grapes from small, fragmented vineyards are hand-harvested at the optimal ripeness and quickly transported in small crates to the newly built, impressive winery in Kurtatsch. There, cold maceration in the press takes place according to the specifications of cellar master Erwin Carli. After temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel, the subsequent long aging on fine lees took place, through which the wine gains in complexity and consistency.

Kellerei Kurtatsch cultivates a deep connection to nature and its homeland, South Tyrol. This attitude is expressed in sustainable wine production, which aims for minimal environmental impact while emphasizing the uniqueness of the terroir. The cooperative is known for its exceptional wines that show elegance and complexity. The Kellerei Kurtatsch Gewürztraminer Arenis Südtirol DOC 2022 is no exception. This wine is a testament to the winery's commitment to quality and excellence.
