Manincor Mason di Mason Pinot Noir 2021 – The Essence of Essence

The Manincor Mason di Mason Pinot Noir 2021, cultivated in the idyllic Mazzon location in South Tyrol, is a prime example of quality and craftsmanship in biodynamic viticulture.

The noble Mason di Mason Pinot Noir 2021 captivates with its ruby red color and a bouquet that combines ripe Pinot Noir fruit with hints of violets and dark cherries. On the palate, it reveals a complex structure with soft, round tannins, allowing for a clean, elegant, and harmonious finish.

Why you should enjoy a glass of Manincor Mason di Mason 2021:

Unique Location: The vineyards of the Mazzon area, situated on a south-facing plateau at an altitude of 400 to 450 meters, offer ideal conditions for the Pinot Noir grapes from which this wine is made.

Careful Winemaking: Each batch of grapes is processed separately and undergoes spontaneous fermentation, which enhances the individuality and character of the wine.

Biodynamic Cultivation: Produced strictly according to biodynamic principles, this wine not only guarantees enjoyment but also stands for sustainable cultivation methods. The wine is certified by Respekt-BIODYN and is vegan.

Complex Flavor Profile: The combination of ripe fruit aromas, fine-grained tannins, and moderate alcohol, paired with a fresh spiciness, gives this wine an unmistakable character.

Optimal Storage Potential: With a storage potential until 2034, this wine develops an even greater richness of flavor over the years.

Exclusivity: Due to the careful selection and limited production, each of the 3720 bottles of Mason di Mason is an expression of exclusivity and quality craftsmanship.

Everything you need to know about this South Tyrolean red wine

Sensory Description

The Mason di Mason Pinot Noir 2021 is characterized by its deep ruby red color. The bouquet unfolds aromas of ripe red and black fruits, underscored by notes of violets and a hint of licorice and spices. On the palate, the wine offers a velvety texture with well-integrated tannins, leading to a long and harmonious finish. This wine is excellent as an accompaniment to festive meals or for moments of personal indulgence.

Production Process and Quality

Each batch of Mason di Mason grapes is harvested by hand, selected again by hand, and processed separately. Spontaneous fermentation in open oak vats with natural yeasts and a two-week maceration promote the complexity and depth of this wine. The 16-month aging in barriques, of which only 20% are new, rounds off the flavor profile before the best barrels are carefully selected for the final blend of this limited "Grand Cru from the Grand Cru."

Sustainability and Responsibility

Manincor places great emphasis on sustainability and biodynamic practices, which not only protect the quality of the wines but also the environment. The winery is certified biodynamic and vegan, with all processes carried out in strict compliance with ecological standards.

Food Pairing and Drinking Experience

The wine pairs excellently with slow-cooked lamb, roasted venison haunch, or grilled fillet steak in a rich sauce, as well as with mature soft cheese. These combinations optimally complement the velvety texture and complex aroma variety of the wine. For optimal enjoyment, the wine should be served slightly below room temperature and, especially in its youth, decanted. Ideally, it should be enjoyed from Burgundy glasses.

Manincor – South Tyrolean Wine Culture

The Manincor winery cultivates around 50 hectares of vineyards around the estate on Lake Caldaro, focusing on biodynamic cultivation and has been fully biodynamically certified since 2009. This underscores the endeavor to produce high-quality grapes and transform them into excellent wines in the unmistakable Manincor style. The estate pursues the philosophy of creating wines with elegance, finesse, and an impressive structure.

Let yourself be seduced by the unique combination of tradition, craftsmanship, and love for nature that is inherent in every bottle of Mason di Mason.
