Organic Red – sparkling like Secco

The Prisecco Organic Red is one of the 3 classic Priseccos (White, Red, Rosé) in organic quality. The basis for the Prisecco Organic Red is the juice of hand-picked old apple and pear varieties from traditional orchards of the Swabian Alb, paired with the juice of red and black currants, as well as aronia juice. Extracts of rooibos and Pu Erh tea, as well as meadowsweet and a composition of a multitude of herbs, flowers and spices allow Jörg Geiger to achieve balance and complexity. Meadowsweet, also known as a medicinal herb, is found in the nature of old orchards and brings a unique fragrance to the Prisecco Organic Red. In the glass, a beautiful, strong red. On the nose, ripe apples, red berry fruit, fresh tart notes, as well as soft ethereal hints. On the palate, it shows notes of apple and cassis-borne subtle sweetness, which creates an exciting arc to the spicy malic acid and ends in a medium-long dry finish with well-integrated tannins. A fragrant aperitif and a great accompaniment to goat cheese with rosemary and honey, summer salads with raspberries, grilled dishes, or desserts with berries.

The old apple and perry pear varieties come from the characteristic traditional orchards along the bird sanctuary at the foot of the Swabian Alb – hand-picked, ripened, and gently processed in Jörg Geiger's manufactory, who has received several awards for his juices (including from Slow Food). These juices, with their distinct aroma, unique acidity of old apple varieties, and emphasized tannin note of the pear, form a very special, natural basis for the Geiger Prisecco varieties.
