Kohl Gourmet – Mountain Apple Juice Rubinette

The naturally cloudy Kohl Gourmet Mountain Apple Juice Rubinette is elegant, full-bodied, and long-lasting, offering a complex flavor profile with aromas of dried fruits like dates, quinces, and apricots, with a light hint of vanilla. Its intense straw-yellow color shimmers with rosé or apricot. The Rubinette apple variety for Kohl Mountain Apple Juice Rubinette grows above Bolzano in South Tyrol on the Ritten plateau.

The Gourmet Mountain Apple Juice Rubinette, made from hand-picked, single-variety apples, is particularly recommended with fine goat cheese, as well as light and spicy vegetable and meat dishes. It pairs well with strong, salty, and spicy flavors. We recommend serving Kohl Mountain Apple Juice Rubinette in a stemmed glass so that, like wine, the aromas can best develop. This is best achieved at a cool drinking temperature of 8 - 12°.

Rubinette – the Gourmet Apple

The Rubinette is also a cross between the popular, high-yielding Golden Delicious, here it has formed an alliance with Cox Orange. The yellowish-green, rather small apples have firm, crisp flesh and are very juicy; on the sun-exposed side, they develop bright red cheeks as they ripen.

"We are a small company on the Ritten plateau at almost 1,000 m above sea level with our own apple orchards. There, according to the highest quality criteria, our natural gourmet mountain apple juices are created: single-varietal, i.e., from a single variety, and various cuvées of mountain apple juice with suitable partners or with extracts of exciting aromas. And as an extraordinary highlight: two limited Grand Cru juices from old, almost forgotten apple varieties," Thomas Kohl tells us on the Ritten during one of our visits. We would like to add that Kohl mountain apple juices contain no preservatives, no other additives, and no added sugar. They are preserved purely through gentle pasteurization. All ingredients are processed at their peak ripeness and are of the best quality and an incomparably good taste.
