Karl May Red Wine – Kleiner Bruder - great organic enjoyment
The Karl May Kleiner Bruder 2021 is an easy-drinking red wine cuvée made from the Dornfelder, Regent and St. Laurent grape varieties. On the nose, the aroma of red fruits, ripe cherry and tart red currant, as well as a fine herbal spice; on the palate, juicy, fruit-driven, velvety-soft, with a medium body, good acid balance, and moderate alcohol content.
The Kleiner Bruder from Karl May is the youngest offspring of the Karl May family and the perfect patio wine, an uncomplicated companion to pizza, pasta with tomato sauces, or grilled dishes, which can also be enjoyed slightly chilled in summer.
Karl May – Preparation
The vines for this red wine cuvée from the Karl May winery grow in organically farmed vineyards in various locations with sandy loess-loam soils. To harvest ripe grapes in autumn, Fritz and Peter May begin in January with gentle pruning and early defoliation of the grape zone for optimal sun exposure, as well as yield reduction through green harvesting. The early, selective hand-picking of the grapes takes place in several passes. The journey to the new winery is not far, where the grapes are gently processed. After 10 days of maceration, the mash is gently pressed and the must is spontaneously fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks. Kleiner Bruder - great enjoyment - buy now.
