Philipp Kuhn Freistil 2024 - a delicately aromatic Muskateller from the Pfalz
The Philipp Kuhn Freistil 2024 is a dry, fragrant and light white wine made from Muskateller grapes from the Pfalz region. Formerly a cuvée of Muskateller and Silvaner, the Freistil is now bottled as 100% Muskateller. Muskateller is one of the oldest cultivated grape varieties, with more than 200 different types known. Phillip Kuhn selects Goldmuskateller and Gelber Muskateller for his Freistil.
Typical for this aromatic grape variety is the expressive aroma of elderflower, gooseberry, a hint of mango, meadow herbs, nutmeg and freshly mown hay. The Freistil is juicy, light, and its acidity remains in the background. Philipp Kuhn also produces this grape variety in a dry style. The result is a superb aperitif and a wonderful companion to Asian-spicy dishes or asparagus.
