Philipp Kuhn – Weißer Burgunder Tradition – VDP GUTSWEIN
The Philipp Kuhn Weißer Burgunder Tradition 2023 is a modern, dry, lean white wine that is enjoyable not only in the warmer months. It is lively, with a moderate alcohol content, and, fitting for the Burgundy grape variety, it has aromas of fresh pears, dried apple, sweet melon, and walnuts. With its fresh acidity and rather restrained bouquet, it is the perfect food companion. It pairs well with fish and meat dishes, as well as vegetarian meals. It does not tolerate too much acidity or spiciness in food.
Philipp Kuhn – Winemaking
The Burgundy grapes for this estate wine from the Pfalz grow in vineyards around Laumersheim, Dirmstein, and Großkarlbach and are harvested exclusively by hand at the optimal time. After whole-bunch pressing and slow fermentation over several weeks, the Weißer Burgunder ages on its lees until bottling. Matured in stainless steel tanks, it retains its invigorating freshness and the mineral notes of the limestone and loess-loam soils.
