The Alpe Pragas Peach Fruit Spread is a summery jam with 75% fruit content, wonderful as a delicious spread.
The peach belongs to the rose family; with its delicate fuzzy skin and thick pit, it is classified as a stone fruit. Wonderful Alpe Pragas fruit spread made from fragrant, aromatic, full-bodied vineyard peaches. The stone fruit was pitted by diligent hands and gently cooked for a few minutes under vacuum with only a little sugar and lemon juice. They taste great on warm crêpes or with quark or yogurt.
In the Prags Valley, the Gruber family has been cultivating berries since 1994 at an altitude of approximately 1250 m. In this alpine mountain climate, the fruits ripen longer and thus develop a particularly intense aroma. Great importance is attached to cultivating the fruits as naturally as possible: the seedlings are planted by hand, the fields are weeded several times until harvest, and irrigated with river and spring water from the Dolomites.

Alpe Pragas – Goals for the Future
Stefan Gruber's next big goal is CO2-neutral production by 2027. To achieve this, he built a state-of-the-art production facility in 2010, as well as an alpine-designed sales and tasting room, and a new office wing. The processing of the fruits is an innovative process, yet as much as possible is done by hand. By optimizing production processes, resources can be conserved and energy saved, and waste has also been reduced. As a family man, he feels responsible for treating resources such as water, energy, air, and soil gently for the next generation. Stefan Gruber loves the region where he grew up and now lives with his family. "We want to produce green and become an ECO-Manufactory," he tells us.
